About Facilitator Genevieve Shapiro

Hi! I'm a former diplomat, ESL teacher, and cartoonist with over 20 years in managing and training professionals. I got into improv thanks to Ben Sylla at Laughy Place Improv. Like Ben, my philosophy is to make a safe space for people to have fun, as that's where growth happens. And without growth, life is kind of...boring. I love peace games (no winners, no losers, just fun). I'm also a supporter of DEIA and LGBTQ+ rights. As a cartoonist, I portray the diversity I want to see in the world. And as an improv facilitator, I support people trying out new things. Perfection is not the goal! (In fact perfection is also kind of boring).
